Pebbles Gallery And Art Cafe

Open since 2006, Pebbles and the Allendale Creative Artists CIC is a social enterprise that has led the way in offering a new type of gallery that many other businesses are fallowing. Pebbles is where artists can choose how they rent space and sell their work, there is no commission taken for artwork in the permanent spaces ensuring customers are able to buy affordable art, or commission that special gift. Facilities are free so artists can skill share and set up creative workshops at affordable rates for the community and visitors. We have a real commitment to young artist and entrepreneur, with this in mind we also run a FREE pebbles youth project.
Community Interest Company - with a social conscience
We are self-sustainable securing minimal funding to run events. Wepromote art, creative businesses & sensitive tourist development within the community by running an art gallery, retail outlet, café, workshops, training, a free youth project. We network with groups, offer business support, mentoring, skill sharing and we hold monthly art and cultural events throughout the year.
The Fine Art Gallery
The gallery enjoys a rolling programme of varied fine art exhibitions where artists can rent an entire studio and hold a solo show. The studio attracts artists from all over the region, and commission from this part of the gallery helps support many events and the Pebbles Youth Project. Creative Practitioners
There is a high standard of ever-changing creative works in ceramics, textiles, woodcraft, hand blown glass, gemstone and silver jewellery, pottery, photography, felt making and rich painted silks, hand made soaps, creams, luxury bath soaks, dipped candles, folk art, paper craft, uneake detailed hand calved leather books, sculpted fun models and our fine art collection is made up of many talented and renown regional artists.
Music
We have many musicians associated with the gallery in fact many of our artists are musicians and you can buy their CDs and often hear them play live in the café.
1st Saturday Preview
We warmly invite you to one of the new exhibitions of fine art that start with a free preview held on the 1st Saturday of each month, 10am–5pm, with wine, chocolates and good company, where artists and visitors enjoy talking about new works and have the chance to buy original pieces and affordable art.
Pebbles supports a growing network of creative practitioners
and musicians living and working in Northumberland and
the North East. We have over 70 members and associated members.
OPEN 10am – 5pm 7 days a week.
